Iron Curtis - at the Lot Radio 06.30.2019

After phenomenal party at Public Records in Brooklyn, where he played alongside map.ache, Iron Curtis made a mandatory visit to infamous The Lot Radio. Sa Pa - XLR8R podcast 601

A few weeks ago New York-based artist Kamran Sadeghi released his phenomenal EP which included a remix by Giegling affiliates Sa Pa & Ateq (Sateq, when working together). Around the same time, popular music platform featured this mind-bending mix and a brief interview with Sa Pa. There’s not much info about Sa Pa, but the most important info is right here - music. The mix is deep, dubby, in moments experimental and ambient but first and foremost atmospheric with field recordings giving that ‘alive’ touch to it. Tested during the car ride, fits just perfectly.

Kia - Kommune Radio at RLR #16

In the last couple of months we’ve listened several mixes from incredibly talented Sydney-based DJ, Kia. Kia’s mixes are usually a blend of trippy techno, micro-house, and complex broken rhythms. Gacha Bakradze - Hyp 398

Rinse FM’s latest edition to already an impressive line up of residents is no other than Roman Flügel. For now, 4 monthly residencies have been confirmed, we hope it gets extended because it’s true enjoyment and kind of like a music class listening radio shows like this. Fabulous and wicked selection by one of the greatest.

Joakim - The Ransom Note mix

Tigersushi and Crowdspacer head honcho, Joakim has made a mix for popular music platform The Ransom Note. Joakim is an eclectic DJ who blows us away every time we listen to him with his selection and DJ skills. He doesn’t make that many podcasts and mixes so this mix was a nice surprise in our feed. As you could expect, this mix is quite eclectic (who would say 🙂 ), but constant mood changes make all the difference in this case and keep the listener on the edge with what will come ne

Lawrence - live at Garbicz Festival 2018

We don’t mind this mix is from 2018. It’s made of timeless music by one of our all-time favorite producers, Lawrence. Dial records co-founder played this beautiful ambient/downtempo set at last year’s Garbicz Festival. We don’t have the opportunity to hear sets like this from Lawrence often so this one was very special for us. It’s in our ‘evergreen’ folder from now on.

Leif - Freerotation 2019

Whities affiliate, Leif is back on our list with another mind-bending mix. This time we have the opportunity to hear a piece of the atmosphere from this year's Freerotation festival where Leif shared the bill with Objekt, K-Lone, Surgeon, Aurora Halal, Sven Weisemann, and Dj Bone just to name the few. As we got used on when listening to Leif’s sets, they are very rhythmically complex, percussion-driven, often blend of d&b, jungle, breakbeat, techno and beyond, and that’s exactly what type of ride Leif will take you to with this set.

Heap - Dekmantel 240

The latest mix in Dekmantel's podcast series comes from incredibly talented Neubau records co-founder, Heap. Heap is not a stranger to Delayed, his music digging obsession and talent to blend tracks that are 20-30 years old with new ones into one cohesive journey puts him in a small group of DJs that we have big respect for. This mix has a wide range of genres and in its eclectic journey it visits cosmic disco, synthwave, electro, acid, and house, and as we mentioned it before Heap packed everything just perfectly.

Davis - Live at Shelter, Amsterdam, June 2019

ODD co-founder, Davis has been having very busy 2019. His ODD parties in Brazil have become one of the best underground party series that combines super talented local talents with world-recognized DJs. Besides that Davis often travels to Europe where he plays some of the best clubs in the world, like Robert Johnson and Panorama Bar, regularly. This recording is from the newly re-opened legendary club in Amsterdam, Shelter. The thing we like about Davis is that he never ceases to surprise us with his sets. Every set of his has some twist in it, and that’s what keeps us listening to his sets with great attention. In this mix we can say that Davis decided to go down electro-acid route but don’t be fooled by it, Davis has got much more up his sleeve for this one, so expect to hear groovy house, trippy techno, and some very catchy vocals. We can only imagine how this sounded on Shelter’s sound system.

Fast forward one year and queniv’s got 2 tracks on exceptional De Lichting ’Twee’ compilation, and 2 mind-bending remixes of G.Markus on SoHaSo’s sister label OOSSHA. In the light of the OOSSHA release, queniv made this mix which is dark, trippy and powerful. Its rhythm complexity makes it very interesting to listen.

In last few months Cooper released critically acclaimed EPs on labels like Permanent Vacation, Prins Thomas’ Internasjonal, Biologic Records and 2 more are scheduled for upcoming months on none other than ESP Institute and Hivern Discs. With a string of impressive releases, it’s not a surprise that Cooper Saver is in the spotlight of many music magazines and platforms. For this month's list, we picked the mix Cooper did for RA. A bit different approach from Cooper on this one, since we got used on listening to podcasts that are usually slower in tempos from him, this one is straight-on party-ready. This is what Cooper Saver said about this mix: 'A lot of these tracks are personal favorites from the gigs I've been playing over the last little while, plus some things I rediscovered while digging my through collection for this.
