EVENT: Pintai x Delayed at Borisov, Amsterdam, March 2, 2024
Amsterdam-based collective Pintai and Brooklyn-based music platform Delayed announce their first collaborative event featuring Pale Product, Orion, and ATEQ at Borisov.
The most meaningful connections often unfold on the dancefloor, don't they? Members from both Delayed and Pintai came together in the rhythm, and this is where they conceived the idea for this extraordinary event on the 2nd of March.
Pintai, established in 2023, is known for organizing events that allow people to rejuvenate and deeply connect on the dancefloor — both physically and mentally. Following the highly successful Pintai x Small Steps collaboration, featuring Lola Haro and DJ Dustin during the last ADE, Pintai is now partnering with the Brooklyn-based music platform, Delayed.
For enthusiasts of ambient and the deeper realms of electronic music, Delayed needs little introduction, having built a thriving global community around its platform. The collaboration is an exciting opportunity for Delayed to showcase talents whose sound is nurtured through the community. Borisov, in Amsterdam, provides the ideal setting for this intimate, connection-centric environment that embodies the essence of both Delayed and Pintai. The collaboration has invited Orion and Ateq for its first event on March 2.
Orion, a Milan-based duo and label heads, are recognized for their deep textures and rare appearances. “We are thrilled to bring them to Amsterdam for the first time presenting a live set” the organizers say. In the spirit of musical connection, they formed a mysterious alliance with German artist Ateq called Pale Product. Pale Product is a label and collaboration, with their first release “Cyclorama” ( 2022) getting high praises. The trio mainly operates through elusive video and sound snippets on Instagram, making it even more special that Pale Product will have their inaugural public performance at Pintai X Delayed, in the intimate setting of a dinner concert.
Ateq himself will bring the night to a close. Ateq possesses a truly unique approach to techno. Maybe some recall his set at De School or have heard of his marathon closings at Bassiani. Hafa and Hame, the Pintai founders, will complete the lineup. Hafa will open the evening with a vinyl hip-hop set. Following his successful release “Compathy” on Small Steps, Hame lined up a new EP on Noire & Blanche and will take care with a DJ set to transition from Concert to club night with his emotive sounds.
Adding a distinctive touch to the evening is Elisa Sophie Frucht. Elisa is not only a cherished friend of everyone involved but also a baker and chef in motion. In her work, she merges culinary aspects with the experience of emotions, offering an array of textures, tastes, touches, sights, and smells. Her food is sensual and pure. During our dinner concert, she will curate the dessert, marking the transition to the dancing segment of the night.
