Favorite Mixes from July 2022
Hot summer days are the perfect opportunity to escape city life and enjoy the beach, hike, or snooze under the shade. The mixtapes we enjoyed the most in the past few weeks will be an ideal companion for any adventure you jump in. Mixes are listed in no particular order.
Lux // Nachtipod // Waiting for NACHTIVILLE
Preparation for the next year's Nachtiville are in already in full swing, which includes regular podcast series from the festival's guests and favorite DJs. Last month we enjoyed listening to a guest mix from one of our favorites, Lux. Lux brings positive vibes in this mix with high-paced house music and phenomenal breaks. This mix is meant to be listened to loud.
Lychee & Aaron J - Live at Nowadays, May ‘22
Aaron J and Lychee don't need a special introduction here at Delayed. The duo's impeccable taste is represented through Aaron's Sure Thing record label, podcast series, and Lychee's music zine Spontaneous Affinity. But perhaps, the best way to indulge in their music worlds is when they're behind the decks. One night in May, Aaron J and Lychee played an extended b2b set in Brooklyn's beloved club, Nowadays. Opening sets are art for themselves. Opening b2b sets are a whole different story, but when listening to this mix, you can hear that Aaron and Lychee understand each other quite well when behind the decks. The mix is well paced with excellent track selection, the winning formula which creates a proper atmosphere on a dancefloor.
Horkheimer - Arch Selection 23
LARJ's own Horkheimer dives into the depths of slow-burning dub techno and intricate electronica in his latest mix for Sweat Lodge's Arch Selections.
Sepehr - Smoke Machine Podcast 147
Shaytoon Records founder, our fellow NY-er, Sepehr, delivers a mind-bending mix for the beloved Smoke Machine podcast series. The mix travels with such ease through techno and breakbeat realms constructed with complex rhythms and uplifting energy. This is a pretty impressive mix.
Maayan Nidam - Trommel.145 [all night long - 8h set]
You won't find an eight-hour-long recording of an all-nighter that often. Finding an amazingly constructed and perfectly paced all-nighter is especially tough. And here we are, Perlon's own Maayan Nidam delivers an impressive 8-hour eclectic journey that showcases her broad music knowledge and immaculate skills behind the decks. The set was recorded live and Miami's Floyd.
Nice Girl - Groove Podcast 342
The New Zealand native, Ruby Kerkhofs, aka Nice Girl, is preparing for an extensive European tour in the next few months. In anticipation of the upcoming tour, the Public Possession affiliate made the mix for the infamous Groove Magazine. The mix is energetic and perfectly suited for late nights on a dance floor.

Get ready for a brilliant eclecticism by NY's own Greg Paulus. Arguably, one of NYC's finest trumpet players takes us for a ride through the house, disco, jazz, hip hop, and beyond in the latest edition of The Lot Radio's show Local Celebrity.

Belfast duo Bicep started a brief residency on NTS radio. Their first episode has a feel-good Bicep stamp all over it. An hour of uplifting melodic breaks and electronica is something that will brighten up your day for sure.
F-on @ On Board x 012, Laut, Barcelona
Alfonso Pomeda, aka F-On, is back with yet another brilliantly executed mix. This is a recording from On Board Music x 012 party at Barcelona's LAUT, where F-On shared the decks with Laura BCR, Claudio PRC, and Luigi Tozzi. Get ready for two hours of the masterclass in off-kilter deep techno.
Jana Rush - Dekmantel Podcast 395
There's so much happening in this one-hour-long mix from the legendary Chicago-born Jana Rush that you'll feel that you listened to an all-nighter at the end of it. It's truly impressive what Jana managed to mix during these 60min. This is not your everyday DJ mix; this is something special.
Patrice Bäumel - EG.900
Electronic Groove celebrated its mammoth 900th podcast with quite a treat - 2hr live recording from Patrice Bäumel, the German artist based in The Netherlands who pushes the bar higher with each new mixtape and EP. The set was recorded at this year's Fusion Festival on the Panne Eichel Floor, and it is a pure DJ masterclass. Super smooth melodic voyage with carefully picked vocals that never get cheesy but built a feel-good atmosphere that we are sure created magic at Panne Eichel dance floor.
JakoJako - IA MIX 365
In her latest mix for IA, JakoJako steps away from the 4/4 floor beat and melodic techno that she usually plays as a Berghain resident and delivers a breakbeat mix that visits some experimental corners and is driven by complex polyrhythms.
Estrato Aurora - Oslated Special Mix 021
Oslated and Estrato Aurora have been one of our favorite record labels and artists in the past few years, and this mix connects these two powerhouses together. Estrato Aurora delivers his signature low-slung deep techno and electronica style, the style that very few producers and DJs can match.

The Fabric resident Anna Wall brings feel-good house music vibes in her latest Rinse FM radio show. During this two-hour journey, Anna Wall visits many different corners of the beloved genre, which keeps a constant energy level and makes this mix a perfect workout companion.
.VRIL - HATE Podcast 294
The latest addition to the HATE podcast series is a powerful live set from one of our favorites, .VRIL. The set is a true IDM energizer made entirely of .VRIL’s productions and collaborations (except for two tracks that are by his partner in crime, His Master's Voice). This set is an ultimate workout soundtrack.
Adhémar - fragment25
The master of organic low-slung techno, Adhémar is back with another mind-bending mix, courtesy of Canaanite Records' podcast series - fragment. The mix sees Adhémar diving into well-known slow burning deep techno territory with incredible flow and attention to details. It's dark, trippy, and deeeeeeep.
Vivian Koch - EOS Radio Residency, July 7, 2022
The third episode of Vivian Koch's residency on EOS radio is an hour of tranquility made of rich atmospheres, deep emotional undercurrents, and organic, warm, and tactile soundscapes.
Rambadu - Harmony Rec. podcast
Very few record labels do as good curation as Harmony Rec when it comes to deep techno. Whether through their releases or podcast series, the bar is set high, and that's no different with their latest podcast, courtesy of Dutch deep techno wiz, Rambadu. The mix is a hypnotic excursion into depths of techno driven by organic percussions and rumbling bass lines.
Tom Ellis - Freerotation 2022
A few weeks ago, one of the residents of the Freerotation Festival, Tom Ellis, released a studio recording of his set from this year's Freerotation. The mix is made entirely of his productions exploring different shades of house music.
