Music has been one of the best remedies for quarantine days we’ve been in these past few weeks. Shoal - TSS Podcast 001
Kenny Kneefel, aka Shoal, is yet another talented producer that comes from the Dutch underground electronic music scene. The mix he shared a few weeks ago is a must-listen. It's the recording of his live set, which was inspired by the set he played at the Isotoop party in the desert of Marrakech. The mix is atmospheric ambient & downtempo with some slow-burning breaks. Needless to say, it fits perfectly for home listening. This one goes into the 'evergreen folder.'
ATEQ at Aire Libre, Mexico City
A beautiful melancholic journey by Florian Lepa, aka ATEQ, graced our home speakers several times in the last few weeks. The mix slowly unfolds from atmospheric ambient into a mesmerizing deep micro house, something that ATEQ's home imprint Giegling is known for.
C.P.I. - LYO#158
The magical duo C.P.I. (Marc Piñol & Capablanca) never ceases to amaze us with their unique style of djing. This mix is extracted from their set at About Blank during a marvelous Sweat Lodge takeover party, which we were lucky enough to experience in person. Cosmic delight by C.P.I.
Jasmín - Post Pisces Season
Kansas City-based imprint c- invite one of Amsterdam's rising stars Jasmin for their latest podcast series. Jasmín delivered a mind-bending mix of deep, dub breaks, and techno that would rock any given dance floor.
Mattheis - Patterns of Perceptions 61
Nous'klaer Audio's own Mattheis is the latest DJ to make a mix for well-curated podcast series, Patterns of Perception. A modular synth wiz delivered a trippy, deep and tribal techno mix, the style that he feels quite comfortable with. This is an excellent headphone listening; it'll take you places.
Laura BCR & Haruka - Rinse FM
The latest radio show from Laura BCR and her residency on Rinse FM welcomes incredibly talented Japanese DJ Haruka who gained recognition for himself as a resident DJ of DJ Nobu's Future Terror parties. This double-header mix is a fantastic homage to deep, hypnotic techno.
Bas Dobbelaer - Rosa 003
Melbourne based music platform Rosa continues with style and invites SoHaSo affiliate Bas Dobbelaer for the third edition of their podcast series. Bas has been one of our favorite producers in the past years, and one of the leading young forces emerging from the vibrant underground scene in Amsterdam. With a couple of releases and mixes that we've heard from Bas, it's clear that he's leaning towards deeper shades of techno. With this mix, Bas stays true to his style and brings a deep, percussive techno story that you can listen to both at home or in the club.
Beesmunt Soundsystem - All Nighter at ‘Komuna’, Opium Club
6+hr mixes are not that easy to find, and since we are stuck at our homes, there's no better way to kill time than this. Amsterdam-based duo Beesmunt Soundsystem takes a listener to quite a ride with this recording from their all-nighter at Komuna party at Vilnius' Opium club. Let's party!
Masha - Beyond The Clouds 03.18.20
Dig Deeper resident Masha takes us for a laid back ride in her latest Beyond The Clouds radio show. This mix with carefully handpicked tracks is essential 'quarantine' listening.
Kia - Maricas #4
Melbourne-based Kia is back on our list with yet another brilliant mix. This might be my favorite of hers. It's one of the most energetic ones that are posted online. The first half of the mix is atmospheric and deep, but after Beatrice Dillon's and Call Super's - Inkjet somewhere around the 30min mark, Kia shifts gears and brings uncanny after-hours mood. Kia, once again on point.
DJ Fra - Nitsa Mix #006
DJ Fra, the resident of Nitsa, the infamous night club in Barcelona, was one of the guest DJ's and phenomenal Sweat Lodge's anniversary party back in January at Berlin's about blank. He opened the 'lobby' stage with this hypnotic mix, which unrolls from downtempo electronica to cosmic house with such ease.
JDH - Sunday Mix 032
Good Room and Fixed resident, JDH is a staple of New York's underground music scene. A few weeks ago, the road took him down south to our majestic neighboring country of Mexico, where he played several gigs. One of the most consistent promoters and parties in Mexico City is for sure Sunday Sunday party, and JDH made this beautiful mix exclusively for their podcast series. The mix has steady and mellow unfolding from slow-burning electronica to cosmic house voyage. Exceptionally well-executed mix.
Jane Fitz b2b Eric Cloutier at OHM 10..25.2019
We have yet another 6 hr all-nighter recording here, and it's a mind-bending hypnotic journey. Jane Fitz & Eric Cloutier graced the decks of Berlin's OHM club for Patterns of Perception party back in October. Here's what Eric said about the mix/party: Jane Fitz and I really do enjoy doing our B2B sessions. There's a scant amount of planning that goes into these other than maybe an overarching idea of what we want to start and end with, and maybe a couple Discogs links for reference points mixed in. But that is literally it. We trust each other, and we're confident we can do it, and do it damn well. As always, she's on the audiences' right, I'm on the left, and we go one-for-one the entire time. No escape!!
Supreems - Solace Mix
Lobster Theremin affiliate, Supreems takes an excursion into blissful ambient with his Solace mix. Needles to say, this is something that we'll make your mornings much more enjoyable.
Arkajo - Technique Choice 14
Aniara's own Arkajo brings the fire with his latest mix for Technique Tokyo's podcast series. Very moody and groovy mix from this astonishingly talented Swedish producer will for sure create a party atmosphere in your home during this quarantine.
DJ Nobu - Bassiani Podcast #68
Do you need your' techno fix' while quarantined? Well, it doesn't get much better this. Japanese techno guru DJ Nobu brings his signature trippy techno with this exclusive mix for Bassiani's podcast series.
No Moon - Coastal Cast
After a brilliant EP that he released on Church a few weeks ago, British producer No Moon brings some necessary serenity with this marvelous ambient mix for Coastal Haze's podcast series
John Talabot at Lux Frágil
Live recordings of Talabot's mixes are being celebrated like holidays in our HQs. This is the recording from the famous Lisbon's club Lux Fragil, where JT played a few weeks ago. Are you in need of some party material while quarantining? This is the one.
