PREMIERE: Badskin - Supermauve [Analogue Attic]
What has become a breeding ground for so many incredible artists, DJs, and new music scenes, we welcome yet another Melbourne based producer, Badskin and her second solo ambient album. Bush Bash, as the label describes, ‘consists of 8 stunning textural meditations, composed with layers of evolving pads and acoustic instrumentation. Field recordings taken near Carla's home town in Australia's deep North Queensland forests capture cicadas, log runners, whip birds, and the art of bush bashing.’
Supermauve, our focus of today, is a delightful number, evocative of summers past, the air gently stirring trees and wind chimes in the distance. Like melodies remembered through rose-tinted glasses. With wonderful textures adding a warmth that envelope over all.
