PREMIERE: BLNDFLD - Whispering Trees
Imagine a quiet forest path ahead, flanked by trees slowly swaying in a gentle breeze. The sounds, and smells of a natural place unsullied by a frequent human touch. The birds chirping, a stream nearby gurgles along as it continues its march towards the sea, a tranquil place is this. These mental images and more are what spring to mind when listening through the latest from Georgian producer, BLNDFLD and his VIVID ep.
The release draws heavily from natural sounds, and samples as BLNDFLD states, ‘echoing the beauty of nature and resonating with the depths of your being. Each track is a portal to a different dimension, painting vivid images with strokes of harmonies and rhythms. Inspired by the wonders of nature and the vibrant colors of life, this album encapsulates moments of joy, introspection, and beauty.’
Our premiere for the day, is the aptly titled ‘Whispering Trees’, provides the more introspective addition to the release, the bird twitters and rustling textures abound, providing movement and softening the percussion that slowly guides the listener forward, deeper into the forest…
Whispering Trees, and in turn the rest of the stellar VIVID release including remixes by Adhémar and Doltz, will be out on Bandcamp, the 24th of February.
