PREMIERE: Kato De Vidts - Heightened Aliveness [Listen Festival]

In a celebration of the breadth of Brussels' thriving musical scene, Listen Festival has curated a collection of works that embodies the variety and quality so beloved by many. With contributions from Strapontin, PAL, Kato De Vidts, Azo, Dardenne, KranKk, Lunar Convoy, Kappen, Schroothoop, Bass Toast, Cheb Runner; the aptly named, ‘Our Scene’ compilation is a poignant snapshot of an ever evolving city’s musical expression.

Our focus for today falls upon Kato De Vidts and her track, Heightened Aliven. Ethereal pads, and an electro-tinged melody, guide a listener through the proverbial mists before alighting on a breakbeat base of kicks and snares. All of which provide a sense of energy, of tension, of what has come before and what will be.

Heightened Aliven and the rest of the ‘Our Scene’ vinyl compilation will be released as a limited run as of March 30th, 2022.
