PREMIERE: Shoal - Aureola [Harmony Rec.]
Today, we’re happy to turn our minds and ears to Prague based Harmony Records for their 9th overall release, and the second of 2022. Following a wonderfully diverse offering by label co-founder, Alfred Czital, Aureola is the latest EP from Utrecht based dj and producer, and no stranger to Harmony Records, Shoal. Yes, his 2020 release, Laogan was an HQ favorite here, and made quite a few fun nights and mixes.
Like a current deep beneath the surface, Aureola beckons forth. Carrying listeners farther into the abyss as the light dims and the darkness looms. Soon ghostly shapes emerge as bubbles froth and burst, around your ears, like the snap and hiss of a hi-hat. There, in the distance! A warm glow softens the dark onslaught, you’re almost there, to the source of salvation…
Aureola and the rest of Shoal’s stellar release will be out the 26th of August.
