In already impressive catalog of exceptional mixes of 2016, a month of December added some magnificent music tales, that will be played long after December of 2016. As usual, we carefully picked 20 mixes that we enjoyed the most. DaRand Land - S&T Podcast 18

Scissor & Thread is one of the NY’s underground record label diamonds. The record label is run by Francis Harris and Anthony Collins aka Frank and Tony, who we have (luckily ☺ ) opportunity to listen on a regular basis here in Brooklyn, and they make sure that every time is a special one. Dominik Eulberg - Rabimmel, Rabommel, Rohrdommel

Dominik Eulberg is one of the most consistent German producers. Being a core artist for Traum Schallplatten label and regular on Sven Vath’s Cocoon, Dominik established his name as astonishingly prolific producer. Dominik is fantastic DJ as well. His dj sets can range from downtempo to peak time techno and all that with high attention to quality. This mix is a type of mix that you can listen in few years and say – wow this is beautiful. Slow burning mix with the beautiful introduction that continues into a one of kind music voyage.

Davis - Dekmantel Radio Show

In Their Feelings label boss, Davis, is back with another mix which we absolutely loved listening. Davis is known as a great music connoisseur and his music knowledge comes to light when he’s given opportunities like this – Dekmantel Radio Show in Amsterdam. Superior eclectic selection from Brazilian mastermind kept our attention till the last track. The second hour of the mix is reserved for Russian DJ Inga Mauer who was guest DJ alongside Davis.

Leafar Legov - Boiler Room Transylvania

We are fortunate enough to enjoy fresh mix sets from Giegling crew lately. Each month there’s something new popping up from this Leipzig crew, either new releases, new live sets or new podcasts. For this month we have a live set from Rafael Vogel better known as Leafar Legov which he played as a part of Boiler Room Transylvania back in September. Mesmerizing tunes by Leafar packed in this one-hour live set will leave everybody speechless. True electronic music mastermind.

Clarian North or just Clarian is electronic music artist from Montreal, Canada. He gained recognition on the scene with his authentic production which has very broad genre span. Sjoerd Oberman or just Oberman is a label boss of Nousklaer Audio. Oberman delivered an absolute beauty of the mix to finish successful Nousklaer year with a style. This mix is a perfect companion for your walk in a park, internet browsing or a car ride.

Berlin-based duo, Frankey and Sandrino, has made all the right moves with their productions in last couple of years. From biggest peak time hits to hauntingly deep after hour tracks, this magnificent duo can make no mistake. For our enjoyment we have 2hr recording from their gig for DJ Mag at Work Bar in London. Starting of with African influence and percussion driven vibe and then turning the mix into dark melodic voyage filled with such an amazing tracks from Jimi Jules, Love Over Entropy, SBTH, Patrice Baumel and of course some of the unreleased diamonds that are impatiently waiting to be released.

Jon Charnis - EG After 011

For their 11th installment, Electronic Groove’s ‘After’ series welcomed Jon Charnis. Charnis has made the reputation of very talented producer and DJ who can read the crowd and play tracks that fit the atmosphere perfectly. That’s the situation with this mix as well. As the name suggests ‘After’, this is the mix suitable for after parties. The time where tracks that don’t go into peak time slots live up and take you to different states of mind. This is the music tale that certainly goes places and will leave you wanting more.

Olaf Stuut - Atomnation Podcast #002

Yet another diamond from Dutch music scene, Olaf Stuut has recently released his latest ‘ET’ EP on Atomnation, the record label that also released his LP earlier in 2016. We had the opportunity to hear Olaf’s live set last summer on a beautiful rooftop when he preformed for our friends at Bespoke. Phenomenal hybrid set from Olaf just proved that this young Dutchman has very bright future ahead of him. This mix is exclusive for Atomnation podcast. It’s deep, it’s melodic and it has perfect flow.

Marc Poppcke - Favorites of the Month | December 2016 |

Marc Poppcke is one of our favorite producers and DJ’s on the scene. He is a label boss of Crossfrontier Audio, a label which is one of the most recognized labels in melodic house and progressive house world, but Marc’s music span reaches far more then that. He is perfectly capable of playing any given time slot in different surroundings. That’s a true quality of a DJ. Poppcke’s ‘Favorites of the Month’ series is very popular among music lovers, where they can here what’s new and fresh on electronic music scene, perfectly blended in an hour-long music tale.

Madmotormiquel - Live at Subsonic Festival, Australia

One of the URSL label bosses, Madmotormiquel was one of our guest DJs a few months back and we absolutely loved what he brought to us from Berlin. It was his NYC debut and he did it with style. The melodic and groovy house is his signature and you can enjoy it from this live recording from Subsonic Festival in Australia where MMM played last month.

Ian Pooley - Dezember Mix 2016

Ian Pooley is one of the living legends of electronic music. With over 20 years of experience and being on the scene, Pooley has seen it all. He’s one of the pioneers of German electronic music and what’s the best part of it, he constantly works on his style and evolves it. This Berlin-based mastermind runs two record labels – Pooled music and Montage, but besides that he regularly releases on labels such as Tsuba, Ovum, Innervisions… This mix is ‘seasonal’ winter mix, and it’s full of warm deep house that will help you go through cold winter days.

Rancido - art:cast #006

In the light of his phenomenal ‘Devil’s Den’ EP released a few weeks ago on Connaisseur Records, Rancido did an exclusive mix for our dear friends from Hamburg, Torture the Artist. 21st-century tribal house is the best description of the atmosphere in the mix. Fresh and futuristic sounds with heavy African influences dominate this flawless mix.

CMD Q – KANNMIX 13

There’s not much we know about the artist Cmd Q, except his phenomenal debut release ‘Nine’ which was released earlier this year via Leipzig imprint Kann records. Cmd Q made a mix for Kannmix series ahead of his new release on Kann which should see a daylight soon. Hi-hat driven with some truly haunting melodies floating around this mix, it’s one-hour techno mix that will be ear candy for all techno heads.

Rebolledo x Tennis - Mayan Warrior | Burning Man 2016 |

When two of top selectors in the game meet for a b2b session, you get one hell of a mix. Rebolledo and DJ Tennis joined forces at this year’s Mayan Warrior stage at Burning Man for this killer 2.5-hour mix. This is one of those b2b mixes that sound like it was played by one DJ, great flow, powerful tracks, and we can only imagine what kind of atmosphere there was when they were on.

Soukie & Windish - Lima Colombo

Soukie & Windish is super talented duo hailing from Berlin that run one of our favorite labels-URSL together with Madmotormiquel. We had an opportunity to listen to their b2b set in Amsterdam during the ADE this year at URSL showcase party and they blew us away! That was probably the best set we heard during the ADE this year. Nayan Soukie and Fritz Windish delivered perfect b2b set in early morning hours and kept crowd wild till the end. S&W made this exclusive mix for ‘Witness This’ blog and it represents S&W’s style at its best. A perfect blend of old and new, fresh and innovative sound throughout this one hour mix. We are looking forward to hearing more from this amazing Berlin-based duo!

Tuff City Kids - RA.552

Tuff City Kids is for sure one of the most fun DJ duets in the industry. Their signature Italo disco infused house music brings smiles to dancefloors around the world. Gerd Janson and Lauer (TCK) got an opportunity to make a podcast for infamous Resident Advisor podcast series, and they delivered a fantastic disco-synth-pop mix that goes from the past to future and back in a matter of minutes. This kind of mix only TCK can make. Truly mesmerizing!
