PREMIERE: Adwer - Recombinant (Amandra Remix)[Bolygó Records]

Every techno head is probably familiar with dub techno: that muffled, echo-y, reverb-drenched, bass-pumping sub-genre that feels so good in a dark club in the middle of the night. Fewer people know that dub techniques originated in reggae and were introduced to electronic music by those mysterious geniuses behind Basic Channel, Maurizio and Rhythm & Sound. In fact, some of Maurizio's later tracks are so close to dub reggae, you could practically smell the ganja. 
Amandra's remix for Adwer's Recombinant takes a perfectly legit techno original, slows it down, regrooves it, strips it down and infuses it with that unmistakable scent of dub reggae. Everything is properly muffled, off-beat, and its groove and percussion will at the same time please techno chinstrokers and make Bob Marley break into a dance. It's just that jammin'
