Tristan Arp - Dekmantel Podcast 356

October was the month we listened to a lot of Tristan Arp. The Mexico City-based artist released a brilliant album, 'Sculpturegardening' on Wisdom Teeth, just a few weeks ago, which showcases the artist's style of complex downtempo rhythms, glitches, lush pads, and intricate percussions. The mix Tristan Arp made for Dekmantel is a continuation of the journey he started with 'Sculpturegardening.' Where his album is best enjoyed in the comfort of your home; this mix is clearly more dance floor oriented. It will take you to places you didn't know you wanted to be.

Sean La’Brooy - BSRMIX #116

The co-founder of Analogue Attic Recordings, Sean La'Brooy, is not a stranger here at Delayed. We've been enjoying his marvelous productions tremendously in the past, but I believe this is the first mix of his we feature here, and what a mix this is. Like his studio work, this mix has a dreamy, celestial stamp all over it, with lovely piano melodies and organic percussions. The second part of the mix gets a little groovier with a brilliant jazz grand finale in the last ten minutes or so.

Hoshina Anniversary - Truancy Volume 283

ESP Institute affiliate and one of the most exciting producers hailing from Japan lately, Hoshina Anniversary delivered a mind-bending mix for Truants. The mix is a wicked downtempo roller that keeps on giving with each new minute passed. Here's what Hoshina Anniversary said about the mix: "I usually make my mixtapes with 100% of my originals, so this time I tried to bring out my own colors while including some of my favorite songs (Parris, Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc.). Of course, "Japan" was the theme, and I tried to create unique music that can only be heard here. I like BPM94, so that's what I used for the most part. There are some new songs and danceable elements, but there is also more of an artistic side to it."
