PREMIERE: Alejandro Romero - Tiempo [Futurepast]

Pursuing its quest for raw talents and unheard-of voices, Futurepast is about to release Alejandro Romero's first long player, 'Materia, Tiempo & Espacio' LP. Hailing from Ecuador, Alejandro dived into electronic music when he was 14, then learned the basics of musical theory through classical and jazz.

The eight tracks of this LP transport us to a soothing yet contradictory world, a warm, artificial, dark, and shining place where city life and nature collide, where digital and organic matter blend into a simple flow of electronic bliss.

Reminiscent of early ambient IDM and trip-hop era, Materia, Tiempo & Espacio never indulges into fashionable gestures but rather floats out-of-time in a land of serenity where balance and harmony carry us on a higher level of wellness and focus.

With the perfect balance of IDM intricacy, razor-sharp synths, and infectious trip-hop beat, today's premiere, 'Tiempo' is an ideal representative of the release.

There's not much new music inspired by trip-hop, so 'Materia, Tiempo & Espacio' LP was quite refreshing listening. We hope to hear more from Alejandro Romero soon, and kudos to Futurepast for believing in Romero's work.

'Materia, Tiempo & Espacio' LP is coming out on September 30 via Futurepast.
