PREMIERE: !nertia - Marqod [Linderluft Records]

!nertia is an experienced sound designer and composer based in Barcelona, a city known for its breeding ground of deep, mysterious shades of techno and electronic music. The Columbia-born artist is known for his instinctive way of working and creating an organic and smooth blend of electronics.
!nertia's latest release, the “Zadan EP” on the label “Linderluft” is no exception here.

The EP features four tracks that invite the listener to connect with their own dance gods and explore the depths of their own beliefs and stories through the medium of music. Dancing to music in all its different forms is where body and soul connect in a special way, where the physical and metaphysical meet and take together different forms.

“Marqod”, the Phoenician god of the dance - apparently the first known of its kind, lend his name to a seemingly endlessly perpetuating 6 minute journey. The track develops through different phases of intensity, with spacious breaks to explore and drift. It’s an invitation to exploration that combines some of the classic elements of deep techno that swirls you into different mental states. Glazed with some metallic percussive elements, wide open pads and the occasional underworldy sounds “Marqod” is a nod to the idea that dance is a powerful medium for seeking, expressing and embodying our beliefs, myths and stories.
