HOCast 177 x MIMINOIMI - Joan Gila

In the latest auditory creation by Joan Gila, the experience transcends the mere act of listening. It is an immersive venture into an alternate realm, where the ethereal ambiance echoes the cinematic abstraction of Stan Brakhage's "Eye Myth" and the provocative surrealism of Luis Buñuel's "An Andalusian Dog." A departure from the commonplace, this mix is a deliberate deviation from the ordinary, inviting the listener to surrender to the unpredictable currents of sound.

Joan's mix is made with meticulous intricacy. The narrative is not spoon-fed but demands an active engagement, akin to wandering through dimly lit Japanese alleys, discovering hushed secrets whispered in obscurity. The richness of Joan's sets lies in the soundscape and the enigmatic spaces between them, allowing room for contemplation and interpretation.

This mix shows Joan's ability to navigate the avant-garde, minimal, and experimental realms with finesse. It invites those who seek more than a passive auditory experience, beckoning the curious to embark on a journey that rewards attentive and reflective listening. In a world inundated with the mundane, this sonic exploration beckons you to abandon the familiar and embrace the uncharted.
