PREMIERE: Queniv - In The Midst [Mirror Tapes]
Coming off of contributions to VA releases on Suzie (Cleveland’s fresh faced label), From A Lost Place, and an EP early last year on De Lichting, Queniv is entering 2022 as part of Mirror Tapes Worldwide. Spanning the globe, the aptly named compilation is the first in a series of releases on Melbourne based DJ, and producer Citizen Maze’s new Mirror Tapes label.
Much like the name implies, ‘In The Midst’ embodies those hazy moments where sharp edges are lost, time seems to warp, shifting right before your very eyes. The drums coalesce for the briefest of windows before lapsing back into an esoteric beat. All the while soothing melodic breezes shift around your head providing a respite against the onslaught of what lies ahead.
In The Midst, along with the rest of Mirror Tapes Worldwide will be released on Bandcamp on the 25th of January.
