PREMIERE: Pseudobaul - Pattern Of Wounds [Oslated]
We are always looking forward to the next release from one of our favorite labels, Oslated. No surprise, the upcoming Various Artists compilation - Chimhyangmoo 침향무 is another fantastic addition to their already impressive catalog. “Chimhyangmoo” means dancing in the smoke that rises while burning the noble incense of ‘Agarwood.’ Sixteen tracks in this collection cover a broad spectrum of the ultimate dancing experience - from a profoundly hypnotic inner state to an intrinsic energetic boost.
In“Pattern Of Wounds,” a fellow South Korean producer and member of the ASANA Industry collective, Pseudobaul, creates a tangible, dimly glowing cinematographic narrative.
Like a chronicle of an even-paced drifting through the thickness of an immense matter that follows a fascinating pattern of an underground vein. Soft clatter fluctuates in the background tension relics; rhythmic echo-humming interferes with alternating droplets, blobs, and subtle rumbling. Meditating towards deeper stratum, at some point, it takes respite in a beautifully still lacuna till continuing along with a mother lode.
