TRACK OF THE MOMENT: Vril - Purge [Sun Sad]

Vril is the type of artist that rarely takes the common path. His musical palette is typically subtle, layered, sophisticated and never straight forward. However, on occasion, the artist dials down his signature cavernous reverb, sets his complexity dial on "low" and dazzles the listener with gentle and restrained piece of music.

Purge is such a track: floaty and airy, it washes rather than envelopes and connects quickly with its soothing pads and smooth bass lines. If it wasn’t for the ever-so-slight presence of Vril-esque reverb, one could be forgiven for mistaking it for an Efdemin track. Unsurprisingly, the track is part of a collaborative effort with Efdemin and both artists pay homage to each other's style on the EP and pull of a great trio of aural delicacies.
